Visit to Farmington Corinthians Lodge #67 Oct. 19, 2010

On Tuesday October 19th 2010, Myself, Bro. Kevin LeQue, along with my good friend Bro. Clint More of Winona Lodge#18, traveled up to Farmington Corinthians Lodge #67 for a Table Lodge Meeting and Triple EA Degree.

Neither Bro. Clint or Myself have ever been to a Table Lodge, and we had no idea what to expect.  It was quite a surprise, and a true experience thats is for sure.  The Toasting, and Ritual that went along with it were very interesting.

The Degree work was interesting, how different lodges handle multiple degree work is always a learning experience.  The Lectures were and always are interesting, and you pick up on a little something each time to learn from that you may have missed the previous times.

The Attendance was pretty good, with visitors from at least 5 outside lodges and 2 members from the Grand Lodge of Minnesota, consisting of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge Tiler, and the Most Worshipful Grand Master of Minnesota. This was my second  time being in the presence of the Minnesota Grand Master. And I will see him again at the Winona Lodge Next month.
Guess I’m just lucky like that.

Well, it was a long day, and even longer night with a long drive home, but it was well worth it.  I truly enjoy visiting other lodges,  Meeting Fellow Fraternity Members, Listening to some of their stories, and once again, the overwhelming sense of Welcome and Brotherly Love.

Saturday’s SW JW Workshop

Saturday Oct, 16th 2010
Brothers James Trowbridge, John Accola, And Myself Kevin LeQue Attended the Senior Warden & Junior Warden Worksop at the Eau Claire Masonic Center.

Senior Warden & Junior Warden Workshop 10/16/10

Prior to the Workshop was a Benefit Waffle Breakfast put on by George B. Wheeler Lodge #351 which was great Very Tasty and a good breakfast before (and after) the Workshop.
The Workshop covered such topics as Planning ahead, Making Goals for your lodge, and a Masters Rights and Duties, along with a lot more ideas for making a lodge stronger, more successful, and Running smoother.
It was a good program, and I thank all involved for setting it up.
We met some great Brothers from the other Lodges, and everyone shared ideas, and things they did to help their Lodges stay active, and to keep everyone interested.
Being the Junior Brother at BuffaloRiver #252, I was still ver pleased to attend this workshop. I think it will help me help all others ahead of me, and Sideline Brethren make our Lodge a better place.
Ok, I’m ready….Lets Do This! 😉

10/11/2010 Meeting /EA

It was our regular Meeting night , plus we did the Initiation /EA degree for Brother Derek Hageness.
All Mason’s were Welcome. There was one  guest from Winona Lodge #18 : Their newest EA and a very good personal friend of mine, Brother Clint More. Also, Sitting in as SW for the Degree was the SW from Wheeler Lodge #351. I personally Enjoy his EA Work in Section 2. I think it’s obvious he also enjoys it too.
Bro. Jim Jolly Did his usual UnMatchable Slide Show Section 3.
MySelf, I was Fortunately enough to Do the Charge for Derek, It was a great pleasure to take part in this third Generation Addition

It was good to see the usual faces, and a few we don’t get to see so often. There were refreshments and food available at 6:30 and then opening the lodge was at 7:30 for regular business, then on to the EA.

WM Jon Hageness (Derek’s Father) Took the roll of SD so that he might guide  his son Derek  through the Initiation. Gary Hageness (GrandFather of Derek) took the roll of Senior Sterwart to Aid in the Preparation of his Grandson for the Initiation.

What a Wonderful Evening, Three Generations taking part in and as the Newest Brethren. It happens a lot in FreeMasonry, but how often do you get to see it?

I look forward to working with Bro. Derek in his studies, and be present through his continuation in his degree.

Unfortunately, I did not bring my camera, and the Lodge’s Camera ha dead Batteries.

Winona Lodge #18 Visit

On Oct 5th, I Kevin D. LeQue had the Pleasure and Honor of being invited to participate in the EA Degree of a very dear friend and co-worker of mine at the Winona Lodge #18 in Winona Minnesota.
I was Asked by Their W.M. to Read the EA Charge.
To My Surprise, it turned out to be 3 EA’s that night.
Winona Lodge is a very large lodge, previously used for Scottish Rite, and York Rite Reunions. it has 99+ backdrops dating back over 100 years for use in degree work.
A couple weeks prior to this visit, I was invited to supper at the lodge and was present for a Hiram Award ceremony.
At the end of the evening, I was invited back to Read the charge in the next 2 degrees of my friend and now Brother Clint More, and I graciously accepted the invitation.
I look forward to many more visit to Winona Lodge #18, as it is only a few blocks away from my place of business in Winona.
Thanks to All the Brethren at the lodge for everything.

LandMark Lodge #244 Visit

Brethren,
On August 28th, I visited the LandMark Lodge #244 In Frederic Wisconsin to observer a MM degree. Originally it was supposed to be dual ceremony with one candidate from Minnesota Roseville Lodge, and one from Wisconsin Landmark lodge. Unfortunately the Minnesota Candidate couldn’t make the it.
4 Line officers from Minnesota Lodge in Roseville did attend along with the Grand Master of Minnesota, John L. Cook Jr.
It was a great time, and great Experience, and a true pleasure meeting all the Brethren from Many different lodges, from Wisconsin and Minnesota. Special Thanks to Lee Katz PM from New Richmond Lodge for traveling with me from New Richmond to Frederic, and showing me his Lodge, and of course, being of good company for the days events and adventure.
